Alan Beebe and “the Candy Man”, Arjan Kroon have been whipped into shape by Alli on their Rescue course with the very helpful and thankfully not so big victim, Ryan Beebe.

Nice to see familiar faces back with us again, Arjan Kroon (The Candy Man) and John Robson.  Also, happy to have Pat and Jim Stayer from the U.S. here with us this week. They’ve been busy doing a lot of filming and enjoying the Puerto Galera and Anilao diving.

Sabine is back for the CNY holiday.

Robert  Gilhooly was glad to do a refresher to get him submerged into diving again.

What a fantastic week of critter finding it’s has been with the Critterfest Group from the USA. Mike Bartick from Crystal Blue brought the group over for a week of fun, but it was not just the critters that were around, they had a great sighting of a Thresher Shark and 4 awesome dives at Verde Island where the very elusive Coral Cat Shark was sighted.

It’s that time of year again where the water gets a little chilly and the Thresher’s come out to play. Over the past 5 years it has continued to get better and better for sighting Thresher Sharks here at Puerto Galera especially during the months from December to April when the water is a little cooler.On Saturday Jamie led a dive to Kilima where there is a cleaning station and saw 3 Threshers all at once wow! Malapascua eat your heart out!

Jon and Jenny Butler have been coming here for many years and we’re always happy to see them.

Thanks to Paul Kenworthy for sending us this. Look very carefully and you’ll see a most magnificent tail. Our resident thresher shark has been popping in for some great encounters recently.

Welcome back to “Howling Ebb”!  It’s been 15 years since we’ve seen Rory and Ebb Hinchliffe here and we sure hope it won’t be another 15 years to see them both again. 

Glad to see Mats Blomberg and his family visiting us after many years. It was great to see you all again and especially nice to see their daughter Victoria earn her OW certification with Matt.

Congratulations to Nicolas Ficheux for earning his PADI OW cert! The water part was pretty easy for him as Nicolas has been doing several Bubble-maker divers over the past couple years…but separating from the iPad and doing the reading involved a few mild threats for sure!!
