A big congratulations to Jeannette Tam for completing her PADI Open Water course with us after doing the eLearning at home in Hong Kong. By doing the eLearning Jeannette was able to join in on some fun dives after the course. This meant that she left here very comfortable in the water and with a big smile on her face.

Congrats to the Rescue Diver team Crispian Farrow, Ferdi and Troy. Crispian did the eLearning beforehand and came here to do the water work for the course. Because of the eLearning he had some extra time, so he also did his Deep specialty course and had even more time to join in on the fun dives after.

Wonderful to have Klaus back with us for the second time this year but too bad that Gabi had to stay home for work.

This past week finished off a holiday in China and Hong Kong and we’ve had wonderful diving conditions to make everyone who was here very happy. Looks like the weather is staying like this for a while now so grab you bags and come on down! With the “Blood Moon” last week it was also a chance to put down the cameras and enjoy some great drift diving.  Canyons and Kilima have been very popular dive sites!

Sometimes it’s great just to be able to go with the flow…

Andy has had many students and divers from China coming here to El Galleon and Asia Divers and he is getting well known in China to be an excellent instructor, giving his students and divers a great diving experience in Puerto Galera. We’re very glad to have him working with us at Asia Divers! If you need a course to be taught in Chinese please just let us know.

Our latest Bubble maker Alexander Nelson has taken to the aquatic world as would be expected, as his mom Kimberly is a long time diver. Alli is a bit concerned that he is heading towards the dark side though as he really wanted to dive Sweet Lips Corner, Odies, Blackfish, Mamoods and several of the other tech deeper sites. Alexander is full of knowledge of many underwater creatures and has the love of the ocean in him already, so we expect to see him on an Open Water Course when he is ten. You can get your kids on the Bubblemaker course once they turn eight years of age. It’s a great way to get them started in diving.

Congratulations to our newest certified Divemaster, JR Karbowski. JR has been teamed up with Pete as his instructor and has breezed through the course with flying colours. He is now getting to use all his new skills helping out on dives and courses for a while until he has to go back home. We hope to see you back here on an IDC!

Andy Xie has been keeping pretty busy lately with lots of students from China and his new toy…a very large telescope. If you need a Chinese speaking instructor contact us for details.

Come by the Barrel Bar when Andy is there with his telescope and you could see some good close-ups of the moon, stars and the sun… with a beer in your hand!

It was a great morning for the whole gang as Pete and our newest divemaster candidate JR Karbowski got to take Lynette Steyn through a scuba review and Dan Wang though an intro to scuba diving. Along for the dive as well were Mr. Cheng and Mario Steyn. We hope to see everyone back down here soon!

Emma came here from Sweden on a mission to get her Rescue/EFR course done, join in on the celebrations for Michaels’ 50^th , and earn herself a 100 dive t-shirt. Mission accomplished…Congratulations!
